Frederick Bell, born 1957 in Nottinghamshire, Great Britain, studied at Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham, and University of Dundee, both Great Britain. He’s currently living in Brussels, Belgium.

Leaving the process of creation visible Mr. Bell is painting pictures of photos he took of ordinary situations. This is kind of the opposite of what José Manuel Ballester is doing. A mix of photography and painting is created that makes it quite difficult to distinguish the art forms.

C’est plus ou moins le contraire de ce que fait José Manuel Ballester. Un mélange de peinture et de photographie est créé qui nous le rend assez dificil de decider laquelle des deux formes d’art c’est.
